The North Wind and the Sun

The North Wind and the Sun argued about which of them was stronger. Seeing a traveler in a heavy coat, they agreed that whoever could remove it would win. The North Wind blew a bitter gale, but the harder he blew, the tighter the traveler pulled his coat around him. Then the Sun shone gently. The air grew warm, the traveler's shoulders loosened, and before long he took the coat off himself.
